A Time For Everything Digital Display

The Accidental Time Traveller

Michael and Audrey’s story in A Time for Everything evolved backwards!  Originally I had what is the end of the story all mapped out, and had to sit and think about what would make this story a little different from others- enter my obsession with time travel loops!

I wanted to explore, not only what would happen if you had the ability to change something in your past, but would you trust someone else to change things in your past?  Would you like someone to have so much influence over your future?

And the story took on a life of it’s own!

Time Traveller

Stella and David from The Same Time were a little different! When I was writing Stella in book one, her son Max was three, like my own son at the time.  And I gave her the added preessure of being solely repsonaible for him, and her own mother.  Adding in the fall from riches was just an added tid-bit from growing in the life I needed her to get back to – and guess what!  Some people told me they didn’t like Stella – and I had so much to share about her – so she needed her own book!  Stella is fierce, a single parent, at a young age, dealing with her mother who has her own issues and trying to build a business while staying away from a troubled ex.  I wanted to show people what can go on in other people’s lives that we might not be privy too.  We saw Stella, but we never seen what she was dealing with when she was ‘off chapter’ and on her own.  This novel shows an alternative side story to the same time line as book one.  And boy did it take me places I never thought we would go.  This one flowed from my fingers and made my heart aches as I was writing. I really love Stella and David as a couple – but sometimes….love really isn’t enough.

War & Books

The inspiration for this one actually came from the next book – what, I hear you say – yes I know.  I was writing the next book Saving Dystopia and I’ve sort of fallen in love with military type heroes.

I knew I wanted to write a romance without the added pressure of time travel loops, but I wanted to stay in the same world – hence Orchid being from a famous reality TV family.

The daily anxiety and OCD that Orchid has in her life was something that hit close to home, and I wanted to showcase this, without it crippling or overtaking someone.  Sometimes our mental health can impact areas of our lives without us even being aware – and that was something that I just brought Orchid alive for me!
