What's your ideal future in a time travelling world?

Your ideal future.

We're all used to time travel stories that take us into the past. We meet a historical figure or a Scottish kilt wearing warrior who will sweep us off our feet and make us want to stay in the 1800s forever. But what if there was time travel machine that could only take you into the future?

In A Time For Everything, Michael meets his time travelling guide, Audrey who guides him in to his life and career that he always wanted. Knowing how his life pans out in the future, she is able to keep him on the path to achieve his future desires.

What would your dream future life look like and what would you ask your time travelling guide to help you with? Where do you live and what do you look like? What's your job or family life like? And when you get it all, is it what you always imagined? Because for Michael, things didn't always work out the way he thought!

In my new book, Saving Dystopia, the time travel works a little different and the focus is not on an individuals life, but the world as a whole. A post-apocalyptic dystopian future that needs saved from itself.

When you think of the future, do you ever wonder what the world is like? And how does your life fit into the new world? Has society changed much? Is there things that have been invented that are mind blowing 🤯 or is there something you wish was invented but its not in the future? For Erin and Finley in this time travelling adventure story, they don't get to make wishes on what superficial desires they have for their own future, but whether the future world is a place they will survive.

So in the guise of Saving Dystopia. If you got a glimpse of a not so happy future life or world, what would you do differently to make sure your future life plays out the way you want it to? Are you going on the run like Erin and her family? Learning survival skills? Or doing something more world impacting like infiltrating the root cause and attempting to change the course of a future history?

Although I love writing about the future and time travel tales and alternative life paths, one things this genre has taught me about real life is- your future hasn't happened yet. Your in charge. So those disappointments from your time travel jump to the future, you have the power to fix those now. In twenty years from now, make sure your future self is going to live the life you want them to have.
