Ever wondered what an author's life is like? Look no further!

Okay, so this is a joke - of sorts. Orchid Rock, features in this story - the daughter of a famous family, who has taken hold of her career and moved abroad to avoid the family drama. Everything about Orchid's life has been a success. Born into a rich family, building a career flawlessly and of course, having a hot security guard thrust into her life. I'm almost sure this never happens in real life.

But who wants to read about real life?

We want the tension, the action, the drama and the passion.

War and Books is a friends to lovers romance story, following an ex-soldier (war) and an author (books) and explores the two worlds that our heroes come from and find themselves navigating around.

Orchid, escaped LA to Ireland for a peaceful life and to avoid the drama and money politics that seen to surround her family. Max, an early-retired soldier is trying to rebuild his life and business in America and has a relationship with his parents that Orchid thinks can't exist with her future children if she stays in the world of the upper class.

Max and Orchid navigate their different pasts around getting to know each other and avoiding the real and deadly threat that is heating up around Orchid.
